BACKGROUND

Martha Murray, MD, is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Associate Orthopaedic Surgeon at Children’s Hospital Boston. Dr. Murray received her master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University and her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Harvard Medical School and fellowships in pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine at Children's Hospital Boston. Her research focuses on guided tissue regeneration of intra-articular tissues, specifically the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), after injury. Her current work focuses on using growth factors and scaffold substrate modification to enhance cellular migration, proliferation, and collagen production by ACL cells in hopes of encouraging tissue regeneration and healing after ligament rupture.
