Massachusetts General Hospital

Brigham and Women’s Hospital is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and one of the founding members of Partners HealthCare. As one of the largest academic medical centers in the country, It has long been involved in clinical and translational research.
A founding member of CIMIT in 1998, Brigham and Women’s Hospital has been involved in CIMIT’s work at every step. BWH’s excellence in transplant surgery has been especially crucial for CIMIT-funded projects in Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering and Minimally Invasive Surgery. Additionally, the new Shapiro Cardiovascular Center provides a first-hand opportunity to test CIMIT’s research in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Systems Innovation as it provides a location for providing high-tech integrated care.
