Background:
Beverly A. Brown, PhD, joined CIMIT/Partners Healthcare in 2004 as the Special Projects Officer. Prior to CIMIT, she served as Vice President of Business Development at Linden Bioscience providing invaluable product and corporate start-up experience. She brings extensive experience in medical products technology and market assessment as well as marketing and product development expertise in the areas of neuroscience, gene expression and drug discovery. She began her career in R&D and held various research positions in diagnostic and therapeutic research as well as in drug discovery assay development at Dupont and Baxter Healthcare. She made the transition into Development as Director of Business Development at PerkinElmer. She has authored 31 publications, 2 book chapters, and has one issued patent on drug discovery technology. Dr. Brown’s academic background includes a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Neurochemistry. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
