Ferenc A. Jolesz received his MD, and trained in Neurosurgery in Budapest, Hungary before moving to the United States in 1979. In Harvard, he completed research fellowships in Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital and in Physiology at Harvard Medical School, and residency and fellowship in Radiology at Brigham & Womens Hospital where he joined the staff as a neuroradiologist. He has been Director of the Division of Magnetic Resonance Imaging at Brigham & Womens Hospital and the Director of the Image Guided Therapy Program. His research support has come from a variety of public and private sources, and he is currently the Principal Investigator of several NIH research grants, corporate sponsored clinical trials, and industry supported research efforts. Dr. Jolesz is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, and belongs to several professional societies and editorial boards of peer reviewed journals. He has been the author of more than 300 peer reviewed articles and several books and book chapters. |
