Background:
Alex Nivorozhkin earned a PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry
from Rostov University, Russia with Acad. Vladimir Minkin. As
a senior researcher,
Dr. Nivorozhkin worked on the staff of the Institute of Physical
and Organic Chemistry. He continued his career as a visiting
scientist at the University
of Southern Denmark, University of Paris-Sud, France, and the
Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Harvard University.
After a stint at
the pharmaceutical company, Epix Medical in Cambridge, MA, Dr.
Nivorshkin worked for Inotek Pharmaceuticals, Beverly, MA, as
the company’s
Head of the Medicinal Chemistry Division. Dr. Nivorozhkin is
currently the Senior Program Manager for CIMIT-Russia. His fields
of scientific interests: drug design and discovery, medicinal
chemistry, biotechnology.
Dr. Nivorozhkin is the co-inventor of drug candidates that have
advanced to clinical trials and late pre-clinical studies in
the United States.
He has co-authored over 60 scientific publications in different
areas of chemistry and chemical biology, and holds 9 patents.
