Forum Abstract

Radiation exposure from medical x-ray CT systems is a major concern, and numerous efforts are underway to minimize that exposure. Researchers are focusing on improving the image formation process in order to create higher quality images at lower radiation doses. We have developed an approach based on the mathematical principle of compressive sensing; we will illustrate this approach and show promising preliminary results.
