CIMIT is sponsoring a poster competition in concert with the CIMIT Innovation Congress. The poster session will feature interdisciplinary research and provide an opportunity for investigators to compete for recognition and prizes while showcasing their work. The CIMIT Innovation Congress convenes leaders from academia, industry and government to explore how new technology innovations can drive change in healthcare.
EligibilityThis year ANY registered attendee may enter the Poster Competition.
Areas of Scientific ResearchPoster submissions should focus on early stage, interdisciplinary research projects for improving patient care with an emphasis on devices (including drug eluting), diagnostic technologies, interventions and peri-procedural systems. Research in drug development or clinical trials is not the focus of this poster competition. Submissions should feature early stage research in the following areas:
A peer-review panel will evaluate abstracts and final posters using the following criteria: Novelty, Quality, Potential Impact on Patient Care and Clarity of Exposition.

Award Recipients will be announced during the Innovation Congress.
Please Note: If your poster is selected and you would like to compete in the poster competition, you must register for the conference online and pay the appropriate fees for students, academia / non-profits / government agencies, and/or industry. Online registration is now closed. Register onsite Oct. 27-28 at the Back Bay Events Center.
Ten scholarship opportunities are available for student registrations through Flybridge Capital Partners Stay in MA program. To be considered for a scholarship, you must be a full-time student currently registered at a Massachusetts university or college and selected as a finalist in the CIMIT poster competition. At the close of the poster competition, ten poster finalists that meet all scholarship criteria will be randomly selected to receive a scholarship. Scholarship recipients will be notified via email mid-October 2009 with instructions.
