Akida Holdings Joins Industry Liaison Program

Akida Holdings, a Jacksonville, FLA, company, has joined CIMIT's Industry Liaison Program (ILP).  Akida owns the exclusive world rights to a unique NASA funded technology – AiroCide (www.AiroCide.com) - that has been proven to eliminate organic airborne contaminants including, but not limited to bacteria, viruses, and gases that pass through its reaction chamber.

AiroCide is a green technology that will improve the overall air quality in nearly any environment. The technology can be used in hospitals, clinics, and doctors’ offices and the company believes it may become part of the industry standard used to combat hospital acquired infections (HAIs).

Its goal is to provide a solution for reducing airborne related hospital acquired infections, to improve the environments critical to those patients with an immune-suppressed physiologic condition. It seeks to provide aid to the large and rapidly growing population suffering from chronic respiratory diseases such as severe asthma, chronic allergies and other pulmonary disorders. The broad goal is to become a new air purification/sanitization standard for all healthcare delivery systems worldwide.

Through the relationship with CIMIT, the company hopes its technology will find further utilization in addressing many of the challenges facing healthcare delivery entities.
