Aptima, Inc. Joins CIMIT’s Industry Liaison Program
Aptima, Inc., a Woburn company that specializes in solving the problems of safety, reliability, and efficiency in high-risk industries such as healthcare, aviation, and the military, has become a new member of CIMIT. The organization is a market leader in workflow modeling and process improvement, the design of user-centered information systems, and the development of training tools to maximize individual and team performance.
Aptima was founded in 1995 by Daniel Serfaty, an aeronautical engineer. Daniel’s vision was to create a human-centered engineering firm that would focus on the pilot and design the aircraft around his or her needs. Over 12 years later, Aptima continues to apply this human-centered approach to solving the problems of human performance in high-risk industries.
CIMIT represents a unique opportunity for Aptima to apply validated strategies, applications, and lessons learned from the military and aviation domains to healthcare by collaborating with CIMIT clinicians and other member companies.
CIMIT welcomes inquiries about Aptima and would be happy to provide introductions. Please contact Ann Humphrey, CIMIT Industry Liaison Program Manager, ahumphrey@partners.org for more information.
CIMIT’s Industry Liaison Program (ILP) provides an organized portal to CIMIT for member companies. Companies get connected to the CIMIT network, form collaborations, support ongoing research and gain insight into the future of care through basic membership or more targeted customized services. CIMIT's ILP works to ensure successful collaboration, accelerate the technology development process, and more quickly impact patient care.
