Integrated Medical Systems Joins ILP!
CAMBRIDGE, MA, November 7, 2005 - CIMIT is pleased to announce that Integrated Medical Systems, Inc. (IMS) has joined the Industry Liaison Program.
IMS (www.LSTAT.com), located in Signal Hill, CA, designs, builds, sells and services integrated medical and data systems for critical care, including the LSTAT™ patient care platform. A portable intensive care unit only 5 inches thick, the FDA-cleared LSTAT platform includes a ventilator, defibrillator, 3-channel infusion pump, physiological monitor, suction unit, and blood chemistry analyzer. The LSTAT platform collects, stores, and can transmit (wired or wirelessly) all patient, environment, and equipment data bedside or anywhere in the world via the internet. The LSTAT platform includes onboard power and oxygen systems, and can accept off-board sources of power and oxygen as well.
Of particular interest to CIMIT are the capabilities of the LSTAT (and future derivatives of the platform) to support earlier, continuous and flexible care both in the pre-hospital (air and ground) and in-hospital setting, including disaster response, homeland security, and the current DARPA-funded Trauma Pod project.
IMS has joined CIMIT in order to explore mutually beneficial research opportunities to validate the clinical and economic benefits of integrated patient platforms in the pre-hospital and in-hospital environments.
If you would like to meet with the company to discuss collaborative opportunities, please contact Ann Humphrey (ahumphrey@partners.org).
