O’Hara Healthcare Consultants Renews ILP Membership

BOSTON, MA - November 24, 2006 - CIMIT is pleased to announce that O’Hara Healthcare Consultants has renewed membership in the Industry Liaison Program.

O'Hara provides simulation modeling services to improve the flow of patients, staff, equipment and processes in the built and unbuilt healthcare environment. The O'Hara team of clinicians, simulation engineers, and architects work to provide answers to “what-if” scenarios during a facility's planning process. Through simulation modeling, they create scenarios with real-time data to project and predict future changes and improvements in capacity and efficiency. The result is a statistically valid computer model designed for your own unique program, department, facility, or network which meets clinical and architectural requirements, standards, and guidelines.

Although simulation modeling has been used in the health care field for over 25 years, it has yet to reach its full potential as a tool for improving patient flow and capacity planning. By working with CIMIT, O'Hara believes they can not only advance the utilization of simulation modeling but make it the gold standard for planning, as well as a way to increase patient and staff satisfaction.
