CIMIT Announces Winners of Poster Contest
CIMIT is pleased to announce winners of the CIMIT Innovation Congress 2008 Poster Contest.
Top choice in the category of Most Innovative Research was Jane Zhang of Boston University. Her project was titled “In situ Fabrication of Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering Substrate in Microfluidic Chip for Ultrasensitive Infectious Disease Detection.” CIMIT awarded $1,500.
Winner for Greatest Potential for Patient Benefit was Yanmei Tie of Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The project was, “Combining fMRI from Different Tasks to Identify Essential Language Areas for Pre-Surgical Planning.” The prize was $1,000.
And first place for Best Student Poster was Shelten Yuen, Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Children’s Hospital Boston. The project was “A Robotic Surgical System for Beating-Heart Procedures.” The winner was awarded $500.
