SHARE – Boston, the Consulate of Switzerland, is holding an exciting seminar with the Swiss and American Medtech company representatives, researchers, and venture capitalists on September 15 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.. Jonathan Rosen, director of the Office of Technology Implementation at CIMIT will be an expert panelist at the seminar. The topic of panel discussion will be “New Business Activities, Research, Venture Capital, Investment in Medical Technologies.”

The seminar is being held in collaboration with Ernst &Young from Switzerland, MDG Boston Forum, and CIMIT.

Specifically, the panel will discuss issues such as the impact of the regulatory system on innovation, where innovation comes from (based on hospital research), new revolutionary devices, new collaborations making the most sense, and trends in VC investments.

In addition to Dr. Rosen the panel will include Jürg Eckhardt, Global Life Science Ventures, Switzerland; Andreas Bänziger, CEO HMT High Medical Technologies AG; and Jeff Barnes, Oxford Bioscience. The events moderators will be Karin Gregory and Jean Nichol, who are the founder and a partner in Dover Medical Ventures.

Ernst & Young will present its “Swiss Medical Devices Report” and economic development officials from several Swiss Cantons will add their insights on developments and opportunities in Switzerland.
