Industry Participation
To ensure a nimble, collaborative, and efficient environment within the
ORF project, we invite a limited number of non-competitive companies
to participate in this project.
We select our partners based on the following criteria:
- They have current, state-of-the-art technology to contribute to the room
now
- They share our vision that a clutter-free, integrated OR environment
will improve patient safety and overall efficiencies
- They possess the team
spirit critical to co-developing, in concert with other project participants,
an open architecture for equipment integration
- They are willing
to commit the engineering resources required to achieving the project's
goals
As a member of the ORF Project Team, industry participants benefit
from involvement in an OR integration effort that aims to set industry
standards
for improved ergonomics, functionality, and safety. Benefits to
collaborating members of the team include:
- The opportunity to contribute to the ORF Project Plan
- Observation and monitoring privileges in the state-of-the-art OR facility
- Expedited access to information on new concepts and approaches
to aid in the refinement of existing products and development of new ones
- Assessment of the costs and efficiencies gained through the use of
their technology in a real-world OR suite through rigorous outcomes
studies
- Networking opportunities with other industry participants, members
of the ORF team, and clinicians and engineers from multiple specialties
- Identification as participants in an innovative clinical project
