BACKGROUND

Since receiving his medical degree from the University of Vermont Medical School, Dr. Pigula has focused on decreasing the long-term neurologic effects of congenital heart defect surgery using non-invasive techniques. He is a Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and an Associate in Cardiac Surgery and Clinical Director of the Cardiac Surgery Program at Children’s Hospital Boston.
