Industry Partnerships

CIMIT adds value to the product development and commercialization process by linking research in the CIMIT consortium to industry.  CIMIT recognizes the important role that industry plays in the technology development and commercialization process.  

Through active collaboration, the objectives of CIMIT's nationwide industry partnerships advance CIMIT's mission and focus on the needs of investigators while at the same time benefiting member companies. These industry collaborations include membership in CIMIT's Industry Liaison Program (ILP) and Small Business Program (SBP). CIMIT industry partnerships are an efficient route to finding the people, places and expertise needed for successful technology development and implementation in healthcare.

Why Work with CIMIT?

CIMIT assists eligible business to:

• Access top clinical research institutions and engineering labs, and to the broad array of investigators in those institutions (including more than 300 clinical investigators who have already received CIMIT grants)
  
  
• Identify appropriate solicitation opportunities and clinical champion for innovative health care projects
  
  
• Develop clinical applications for non healthcare technologies
  
  
• Work with company and institutional Principal Investigators (PI) to define proposal aims/objectives, approach/work plan, and deliverables
