Lesson 4: Practice (informed) “irrational persistence”.

Being an entrepreneur in any industry is hard, but the extra hurdles in healthcare make it particularly challenging to succeed. Even with a good plan and team, you must be prepared to deal with more company threatening set-backs, dead-ends, and failures than successes as you navigate the entire journey. You will hear countless reasons why you will not succeed and need to convince others to stay the course … even when you may not be so sure yourself! Rather than quit or be pig-headed with your idea, successful entrepreneurs seek out and are informed by the objections they hear and will pivot when necessary, persisting in finding and exploring potentially viable solutions to the problem they are passionate about addressing.

But, on the upside, success in healthcare brings rewards that go far beyond just the financial.
